Which decision should i make as an administrator?
Of course it is a matter of taste how you want to play, so generally, every betting community can choose how they want to play.
Our reasons for entering the result including penalties:
Fundamentally, one bets on the final outcome of a match and not an intermediate result. The basis for allocating points is always that the right tendency, i.e. the right winner, has been predicted. This would not be the case for 90-minute bets.
The argument that an 8-7 after penalties is wrong: For instance, at the 2004 European Cup quarter-final between Portugal and England (8-7 after penalties) has been correctly guessed by 0.15% of all bets (and that’s not even a very common result for penalty shootouts!). By contrast, the group stage match between Sweden and Bulgaria (5-0) at the same tournament has been correctly predicted by a mere 0.015 per cent of bets.
In other words, it was 10 times easier to correctly predict the Portugal-England match than the Sweden Bulgaria match! And nobody is going to request that the latter should only be counted 3-0 because any further goals could not have been expected.
If someone were to bet on a 2-1 for Portugal, and the match is decided only in the 14th minute of extra time by the decisive goal for 2-1, the player would receive no points, even though he got the result, goal difference and winner correctly. But not after 90 minutes. Should he not receive any points, only because the match stopped being counted after 90 minutes?
But as we said: everyone has their own opinion. The opinion of kicktipp.de is that the end result, and not the intermediate result should be predicted.
