Own leagues and tournaments
If you want to bet on lower-league divisions or individually created tournaments, you need to go to your own League Administration. In the following, you will find detailed instructions explaining, step by step, how to create your own theme. Your best option is to
print this site.
Create League (or Tournament)
- Step 1: Teams
-
First define the teams to participate in your individual tournament. Also define a shortcut for the team name (Ex. team name “Manchester United”, shortcut “ManU”).
- Step 2: Tournaments
-
Create a new competition. The competition’s name is independent of the season, as it can recur. A competition is thus for example a tournament that takes place every 4 years (e.g. World Cup) or a league (e.g. First Division) that takes place every year.
- Step 3: Seasons
-
Open a new season for your competition. Every competition is divided by season. For the competition “Premier League”, you thus have the seasons "2010/11", "2011/12" etc.; for the tournament “European Cup” you have the seasons “2012”, “2016” etc. Using the
Season Template can save you a lot of work, as all matchdays of an existing season can be set up in one fell swoop.
- Step 4: Allocate Teams
-
Allocate the teams to a season. If needed, you can also set up points docked, in case of licensing infractions or similar events.
- Step 5: Matchdays
-
Create the matchdays one after the other. Every tournament has at least one matchday. The number of matchdays depends on the number of teams participating as well as the modus. A season of the Premier League has 38 matchdays, as 20 participating teams means that each team has 19 opponents for each half of the season. For the FA Cup, a matchday can be a knockout round (quarter-final, semifinal etc.).
In creating a matchday, enter the number of matches per matchday as well as a standard date. This facilitates the work for Step 7: Matches. It is recommended, of course, to select the date and kickoff time that occur most regularly on a matchday. In the Premier League, this would be Saturdays at 3pm, for example.
- Step 6: Groups
-
Arrange your competition into groups, if it is a tournament for example. In the League mode, you need no group structure.
- Step 7: Matches
-
Now create the fixtures belonging to a matchday. The matches of the matchday can occur on several weekdays. The match allocation generally conforms to the tournament or league’s official schedule. If you wish to combine several matchdays, this will occur at a later date.
- Step 8: Questions
-
If you want to offer your players the option of gathering additional points, you can define some further questions that the players must answer at a date during the season defined by you. Example questionss are “Who will win the League?” or “Who wil be relegated?”.
Release league (or tournament) for playing
When all matchdays have been created, it is recommended to go to the administrator area and
restart after selecting the individually created theme. After this, all created matchdays are listed as “playable”, i.e. in the “Betting Calendar”.
ATTENTION! This is only possible before a season, as any bets already placed will disappear after the restart.
Alternatively, you can do the whole thing manually:
- Step 9: Betting Days
-
Go to the administrator area, to “Betting Days”. Now determine the betting days for which your players can later place bets. Normally, betting days correspond to the matchdays of the season that is being played.
- Step 10: Betting Calendar
-
If you have defined betting days, you must allocate it the respective fixtures of your individually defined theme. This is done at “Betting Calendar”. Select the season you wish to allocate matches to the betting day from in the menu. You can also combine matches from different seasons in one betting day.
During the season
Your individually created theme can now be played. After the matches end, you must Enter the Results in order for the database to be able to calculate the gathered points:
- Step 11: Refresh Dates
-
Please take care to Refresh Dates on time. Especially in the Premier League, there are frequent reschedulings or cancelled matches.
- Step 12: Enter the Results
-
Individual League/Tournament -> Administration -> Results: Enter the end result. The displays will then be recalculated after. It can thus take a little while before the saved results will appear in the betting overviews. Generally it takes about 30 seconds, but in case of many calculations at the same time it can take up to 30 minutes.
Should you have mistyped, you can correct the results under 'Individual League/Tournament' -> 'Matches'.
- Step 13: Answer Questions
-
When the answers are determined, you, the administrator, must set the answers as right or wrong under "Individual League/Tournament" -> "Seasons" -> "Answers".
